From word to singing

Multiple social relationships can develop in a class. The problem is to avoid fragmentation and the possible emergence of conflicts between different groups. This course suggests proposals and ludic strategies to build the group / choir, promoting a positive class atmosphere, laboratory activities and effective methodological strategies for the construction of creative choral environments, where the choir experience can really become a resource, serving the purpose of enhancing personal potentials and children’s social participation. We propose to perform with the classes simple songs that are easy for the group. Songs that are accessible to every child and, at least initially, that are short, repetitive, include few sounds and that use easy language, emotionally close to their world. The songs must also have a rather simple rhythm.

Work tools

The preparatory phase of the project took place in the classroom, while for the next it was decided to move the activity in a larger and unobstructed environment, so as to allow children to move freely and safely. In the new space, the class will be placed in a "choral" position facing the conductor on one or two rows according to the number of children.
