The Minimalism experimental project, dedicated to an ensemble of first grade secondary instrumentalists, has developed the ability to make visible the fundamental parameters of sound through the visual support of a video. The course offers to the group of students an instrumental educational approach based on a setting prepared by the teacher (video and score) which is able to initiate active participation of all the group members regardless of their instrumental skills, in a perspective where the "structure of sense "is represented by the visual narration, which in turn helps the students to improve their instrumental-technical skills, thanks to the graphic/sound relationship (control of frequency and dynamics, synchronization of durations) and also allows them to grasp the compositional development of the work by immersing them in a complex context.
Setting up the learning environment requires a video projector or an IWB, music stands and a space large enough to comfortably accommodate the group of students. The video used can be downloaded from Toondra animation studio channel.
