Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Die Zauberflöte by W.A. Mozart

This proposal was developed within an educational path that provided training on the CLIL methodology (Content and Language Integrated Learning), and it was carried out in English in a second-year class of a lower secondary school. The aim was to study in depth one of the most important composers, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, with regard to both his biography and compositions. In order to do so, a wide range of materials was used capable of arousing the students’ curiosity and of capturing their attention. Therefore, the methodology used was very much variegated and put the students in the condition to satisfy requirements that were always different and sometimes challenging, giving them the possibility to make use of their competences and develop new ones.

Work tools

In this activity it is necessary to use an IWB in order to view the suggested links all together and to carry out interactive activities in class, for which it is also necessary to use the students’ personal devices (such as smartphones and tablets), both when working on their own and in group. Learning platforms were used to share materials, as well as various webapps (Thinglink, Padlet, Kahoot). The teacher needs a software for augmentative communication.
